This was one of my favorite days on the tour. A small group of us hiked up to the grotto with Alfio then later joined the others for a swim in the ocean. Once back down on the pebble stone beach, I wandered around the rocky coastline, photographing the waves crash against the rocks and the beautiful landscape.

After a nice afternoon along the natural reserves, we stopped at a small strip off the coast, the beach of San Vito Lo Capo. There, we enjoyed a short break with some gelato, compliments of Alfio (and the Rick Steves' budget) and a stroll along the beach with fellow tour members.
